Validity of the TaipeiPass
The TaipeiPass becomes valid on the first day of use and expires at midnight on the expiry date. For multiday cards, use must be over consecutive days.  
For example, the 1-day pass is only valid on the day of use. The 2-day pass, if first used on Nov.1, will remain valid until midnight Nov.2.

Notes:
1. The card is not registered under the buyer’s name and no compensation will be provided in case of loss.
2. Additional value cannot be added onto this card, and it does not include a deposit.
3. If the card has been used or damaged, it cannot be returned for a refund.
4. If the card is unused, undamaged and in original package, it can be returned within 7 days. It can be returned at any Taipei Metro station during operation hours. There is a service charge of NT$20 for processing the refund.
5. If the card cannot be detected but still appears usable and has not been intentionally damaged, it can be exchanged for a new card at any Taipei Metro station during operation hours. A new card obtained in this way cannot be returned for a refunded.

Points to note when using TaipeiPass
1. Do not bend, scratch or cut the card or expose the card to high temperatures
2. To avoid multiple deductions, do not scan more than one EasyCard at a time.
3. When using TaipeiPass, do not place it next to metal objects.
4. If TaipeiPass is scanned for too long or too short a time, it may fail to operate correctly. Remove the card from the sensor area, wait a moment and rescan.
5. If you are scanning TaipeiPass from inside a bag or wallet, the covering should not exceed 5cm in thickness.
