|Using the Debit EasyCard on MRT stations, the Maokong Gondola, the Taiwan Railways Administration, and parking lots with connectionless devices does not have autoload service. When the card balance is insufficient, it is necessary to refill the card with cash or through the add value machine (AVM) before deductions for purchases.|
|Autoload transactions will be halted if any of the following situations occur:|
|1. Not the Debit EasyCard
2. The Debit EasyCard’s autoload feature is not activated
3. The Debit EasyCard expired
4. The card was previously returned, with the status showing "returned".
5. The card is on the list of cards to be suspended and the device is going to suspend its functions.
|If the EasyCard balance and autoload amounts added together are still less than the amount of the transaction, the autoload operation will not start and the transaction will be rejected directly.|

The Debit EasyCard is a chip debit card with credit card and EasyCard functions and is issued jointly by an issuing bank and the EasyCard Corporation. Its biggest feature is its autoload function.
The autoload feature is the Debit EasyCard’s special add-value method. When the balance on the card is insufficient to pay for your current purchase or is less than NT$100, NT$500 or a certain amount of its multiples from the specified account of the Debit EasyCard will be automatically added to the EasyCard via a device. Cardholders are not required to sign a receipt for every single transaction or pay any handling charges.

The EASYCARD logo is placed on the front or back of the card.
Debit EasyCard Card- Front Appearance：
The EASYCARD card number (i.e. PID) consists of 16 numbers located at the right of the back logo or the bottom left corner. 4 numbers counts as a unit, placed in 2 separate rows from left to right.

The Debit EasyCards’ general EasyCard features can be used without activation. The new/reissued Debit EasyCard’s balance is NT$0. If the cardholder intends to use the "automatic add value" service, he/she should first activate the debit card and the autoload feature. Once the automatic add value function is activated, the cardholder may not request its turning off afterwards.
Autoload method and value limit
The EasyCard can be topped up repeatedly, with the maximum value added to each card subject to the EasyCard Corp’s announcement (currently, up to NT$10,000 of value). The cardholder can add value to the card in the following manner:
‧Autoload：When you use the Debit EasyCard with activated autoload to pay for purchases through deductions, if the card balance is not enough to pay for your purchase or is less than NT$100, NT$500 or a certain amount of its multiples from the specified account will be automatically added to the EasyCard via the autoload device. The autoload amount and limit is subject to the law or the standards set by the Taipei EasyCard Corp and the issuers. The EasyCard is automatically refilled free of handling charges.
The EasyCard has the same validity period as the debit card. When the Debit EasyCard expires, the EasyCard and its autoload functions will also be terminated.
Report for loss
If the Debit EasyCard is lost, stolen or possessed illegally by others, the cardholder should report for loss and apply for suspension, and stop its EasyCard autoload feature by notifying the card issuer or any other institution designated by the issuer to handle the loss of the registration.
Please follow the rules of the card issuer for handling：
The cardholder shall bear the deductions incurred by the impersonator within three hours after the EasyCard Corp receives the online notice of loss from the card issuer, while the EasyCard Corp will bear the deductions and autoload transaction losses arising from the impersonation three hours later. The card issuer will refund the balance to the customer's designated account. Please contact the issuer for the application for the refund.
The card loss report procedures must be implemented according to the rules of the issuer.
Damage and reissue
In the event that the Debit EasyCard is smudged, scraped, damaged, broken, or other reasons that cause the card to be past service, the cardholder may apply to the card issuer for a reissue of a new card. The cardholder should maintain the integrity of the card and its chip and send the card to the card issuer by registered mail. The reissued EasyCard balance is NT$0. The transfer work for the balance on the old card is subject to the rules stipulated by the card issuer.
Card renewal after expiration
When the Debit EasyCard expires and is renewed, the debit card and EasyCard function is suspended and the automatic add-value function is terminated. The transfer work for the balance on the old card is subject to the rules stipulated by the card issuer. The renewed EasyCard balance is NT$0, and its autoload function must be reactivated before use.
The cardholder, if intending to suspend the use of the Debit EasyCard, should apply to the original card issuer and comply with the rules set by the issuer. After the card is suspended, the EasyCard and its autoload function will also be terminated. The cardholder should maintain the integrity of the card and its chip and send the card to the card issuer by registered mail for the transfer of the balance, with the registration receipt retained for future enquiries. The transfer operation for the balance on the Debit EasyCard is subject to the rules stipulated by the card issuer.
Card returns and refunds
The cardholder may, within the validity period of the card, use the following channels to request a refund if having no intention to continue using the EasyCard functions.
1. Cash refunds：
The appearance and induction of the card are normal: The cardholder can bring his/her card and personal ID documents to the "EasyCard Customer Service Center" for returning the card and demanding a refund. The full balance on the EasyCard will be returned in cash and the handling fees for the termination of the contract will be charged. After the refund procedure is completed, the Debit EasyCard's EasyCard function cannot be used again. The customer service staff will return the Debit EasyCard to the cardholder.
2. Card returns via equipment：
The appearance and induction of the card are normal: The cardholder may go to the add value machines (AVMs) at Taipei MRT stations and some parking lots, or FamilyMart FamiPort kiosks to carry out the procedure of " EasyCard return" on the screen. The full balance on the card will be returned to the cardholder's specified account through the card issuer. Once the card is returned and the refund is received, the Debit EasyCard’s EasyCard function cannot be used again.
3. Balance transfer：
The "balance transfer" operation is handled through the original card issuer. The operation for transferring the balance on the EasyCard is subject to the rules stipulated by the card issuer. Please contact the issuer regarding the application method.
4. Balance refunded following loss report：
If the name-registered Debit EasyCard is missing, the card issuer will file a loss report with the EasyCard Corp. The balance to be refunded following the loss report refers to the balance settled three hours after the card is reported missing, with the balance returned to the specified account of the card. If the EasyCard is overdrawn (i.e. with a negative balance), the issuer will transfer the negative amount to the designated account of the cardholder to collect the overdraft. The operation for reporting the loss of the EasyCard and refunding the balance is subject to the rules stipulated by the card issuer. Please contact the issuer regarding the application method.
1. The value should be added before use, as there is no deposit on the card, with the balance being NT$0.
2. The operation for transferring the balance on the Debit EasyCard is subject to the rules stipulated by the card issuer. The balance will be transferred from the issuer to the cardholder's designated account.
